- Offshore platforms including fire-fighting systems
The reason Duplex 2507 is utilized is due to its unique properties. On top of its basic corrosion resistance and strength, Duplex 2507 also provides:
- Extreme resistance to uniform corrosion
- Good resistance to inorganic acids/chlorides
- Works with dilute hydrochloric acid
- Improved machinability and weldability
- High impact strength
To be considered Duplex 2507, an alloy it must contain a number of different chemical components including:
- Fe Balanced
- Cr 25%
- Ni 7%
- Mo 4%
- N .27%
- C 0.020%
Continental Steel offers a wide range of forms and sizes of Duplex 2507, all of which meet industry standards such as ASTM, ASME, EURONORM, and AFNOR.
